Idle Hands

I’ve been keeping my hands busy today while resting away the last of my cold. I have almost finished the binding for Kaitlin’s quilt and am looking forward to getting a lot of sleep tonight. It’s good to know that I will fall asleep sober, therefore, with the chance to do it again tomorrow.

I used to rush through my binding, eager to be finished with a quilt. Now I slowly savor it, using the time to reflect on the quilt. Sort of a closure ritual. Hope you feel better! I hope to enjoy some quilting on this long weekend!

  2. Oh it’s coming out beautifully. I love the colors you chose, the teal and the grey combine so well. Love it all!

Thank you so much! I have a hard time matching fabrics sometime- I get overwhelmed by the choices, but I am excited about this quilt. I think Amy Butler did most of the work as far as the colors, but I’ll take the compliment. :)
