So, this is the defining moment…
Okay, maybe more like the “defining days”.
Brandon took off work Friday (tomorrow) and we are officially renting the UHaul, finishing packing all of our stuff and moving into our new apartment. We are even going as far as moving the items he has in Public Storage into our new place (that is a huge accomplishment for someone prone to alcoholic procrastination- fyi).
Anyways… I am writing this somewhat lame attempt at a blog entry at the coffee shop down the street from my apartment (Quetzal on Polk) because, honestly, the apartment is fucking nuts. I can’t stand being there. Even though it is freezing cold and raining outside, I had to get the hell out of there.
I never thought that the “mess” or “clutter” would bother me – especially not my own – but the chaos is driving me nuts. Boxes everywhere, not being able to find anything, etc. etc. It all kind of pushes me to the verge of wanting to scream. Thankfully this will all (mostly) be over once we have moved into our new place and gotten everything put away.
Another annoyance regarding the move is that with everything so packed up and scattered about, I really haven’t been able to do any quilting. I have the white borders sewn on and pressed but still have the blue borders left to do. Plus the sandwiching, plus the quilting, plus the binding. Oh yeah, and I still haven’t even purchased the backing fabric!
Looks like I will be about a week past my deadline. Oh well. I will take that over nothing at all.
